How to contact us

If you spot an error, have a topic suggestion, or want to ask about our editorial work, you can contact us by email.

You can reach us at thetooltrial.editorial@gmail.com.

Messages are reviewed when possible. We cannot reply to everything, and sending us something does not guarantee a reply, a correction, an investigation, a review, a recommendation, or publication of any kind. We would rather say that plainly than leave you waiting on a response that may not come.

Report a possible factual error

If a page states something inaccurate, a concise error report helps us review the claim.

What helps:

  • Which page, and which sentence or claim.
  • What you believe is accurate instead.
  • A public source URL supporting it, where one exists.

Keep it short. A few sentences and a link are more useful than a long explanation, and they let us check the claim quickly. If official guidance changed after we published, a link to the current documentation is exactly what we need.

Reporting an error does not guarantee that we will correct it, investigate it, or reply. When we do correct something material, the correction is handled according to our editorial standards.

Suggest a topic

If you are stuck on a decision and cannot find a straight answer anywhere, that is worth telling us. Suggestions grounded in a real workflow or business constraint are especially useful.

Suggestions may inform future coverage. We cannot promise coverage, a timeline, or that a suggested topic will be published at all.

Editorial feedback

If a workflow, checklist, or framework did not survive contact with your actual business, we want to know where it broke. That is more useful than agreement.

Questions about how something was tested are also welcome. We may answer publicly by improving the page that explains our method rather than replying individually.

Business and media inquiries

Vendors, partners, and journalists can use the same channel. Say what you are asking for in the first line.

Two things to know before you write. A request to review a tool does not guarantee coverage, and it does not guarantee a favorable conclusion if we do cover it. And no business inquiry, offer, or relationship influences an editorial conclusion — we decide what we publish based on the evidence and the reader, and that does not change because someone asked.

What not to send

Please do not send us:

  • Passwords or login credentials
  • Payment information
  • Private customer records
  • Medical information
  • Government identification numbers
  • Confidential business information
  • Full copies of real customer reviews containing personal data

If you are showing us a review, paraphrase it or remove the names and details. We do not need the real thing, and we would rather you did not send it.

Privacy and submission expectations

Send only the information your inquiry actually needs. If you are not authorized to share something — a client’s data, an employer’s internal document — please do not send it to us.

Email is not a secure channel for sensitive or confidential information. Please remove personal or identifying details before sending.
